🐯 Our Story

About 1988rice —
Malaysia's Most Trusted
Online Betting Platform

We are more than just an online casino. 1988rice was built from the ground up for Malaysian players — rooted in local culture, powered by world-class technology, and driven by a genuine passion for the game.

Who We Are

The 1988rice Story

1988rice takes its name from a year etched into Malaysian sporting memory — a time when national pride ran high, communities gathered around every match, and the Harimau Malaya spirit defined what it meant to be a fan.

That same spirit — energetic, patriotic, and fiercely loyal — is woven into every corner of the 1988rice platform. We launched with a focused ambition: to build the most transparent, reliable, and genuinely enjoyable online betting experience available to Malaysian players. From our very first day, we committed to local payment methods, local language support, and local market knowledge that international platforms simply cannot match.

Today, 1988rice serves players across Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru, Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam, and every corner of Malaysia. Our platform covers live football betting — including Liga Super Malaysia, the English Premier League, AFF Cup, Piala Asia, and World Cup qualifiers — alongside a full live casino lobby, hundreds of video slots, fishing games, e-sports wagering, and crash games. Whatever your preferred style of play, 1988rice has a seat waiting for you.

We have integrated every major Malaysian payment method — Maybank2u, CIMB Clicks, Public Bank, Hong Leong Connect, Touch 'n Go eWallet, Boost, GrabPay, DuitNow, and FPX — so that deposits and withdrawals are as smooth and instant as they should be. We know Malaysian players expect speed and reliability, and we have built our entire infrastructure around delivering exactly that.

Above all, 1988rice is a platform built on trust. We hold responsible gambling as a core operating principle — not an afterthought. Every player who joins us is a long-term relationship we invest in, not a transaction. That philosophy drives our VIP program, our 24/7 support team, and our ongoing commitment to fair play and transparent terms.

Mission & Values

What We Stand For

Six core principles guide every decision we make at 1988rice — from how we build the platform to how we treat every player who trusts us with their time and money.

Radical Transparency

All odds, bonus terms, wagering requirements, and withdrawal conditions are displayed clearly — no hidden clauses, no surprise deductions. We believe informed players are happier players, and honesty builds the trust that keeps them coming back.

Speed as a Standard

Malaysian players should not wait for their winnings. We process most e-wallet withdrawals in under five minutes — and bank transfers in under 60 minutes — because a platform that holds onto your money is not a platform worth using.

Security Without Compromise

256-bit SSL encryption, two-factor authentication, and daily security audits protect every account on our platform. Your funds and personal data are safeguarded to the same standard as a major financial institution.

Malaysian-First Approach

We are not a generic international platform retrofitted for Malaysia. Every product decision — from the payment methods we integrate to the football markets we cover — is made with the Malaysian player experience as the primary consideration.

Player Wellbeing First

Responsible gambling tools — including deposit limits, cooling-off periods, self-exclusion, and session time alerts — are built into the core platform. We celebrate wins, but we never allow them to come at the cost of player welfare.

Rewarding Loyalty

Our six-tier VIP program — from Bronze to Royal Black Diamond — ensures that every wager you place earns you recognition. Cashback, birthday bonuses, personal account managers, and exclusive events are reserved for the players who make 1988rice their home.

Our Journey

How 1988rice Grew with Malaysia

Every milestone in our journey has been guided by one question: what do Malaysian players actually need? Here is how we have grown — and where we are headed next.

The Inspiration
Named After a Landmark Year

1988 — the year of Harimau Malaya's greatest national football moments. Our founders chose the name deliberately: a tribute to Malaysian pride, community, and the electric atmosphere of live sport. That energy is baked into everything we build at 1988rice.

Platform Foundation
Sports Betting Launches

1988rice went live with a focused sports betting product — Liga Super Malaysia, EPL, AFF Cup, and major international football markets. Competitive odds and a clean mobile interface set us apart from day one.

Casino Expansion
Live Casino & Slots Added

We expanded the product with a fully featured live casino lobby — professional dealers streaming Baccarat, Blackjack, Roulette, and Sic Bo — alongside hundreds of video slots, fishing games, and crash titles from leading game studios.

Malaysian Payment Integration
Local Payment Partners Onboarded

Full integration with Maybank2u, CIMB Clicks, Public Bank, Hong Leong Connect, Touch 'n Go eWallet, Boost, GrabPay, DuitNow, and FPX. Deposits became instant; withdrawals became the fastest in the market.

VIP & Loyalty Program
Six-Tier Loyalty Program Launched

Bronze through Royal Black Diamond — a structured VIP program rewarding every player for their loyalty. Weekly cashback, birthday bonuses, dedicated account managers, and exclusive events joined the 1988rice offering.

Today & Beyond
Growing With Every Malaysian Player

Today, 1988rice serves players across Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru, Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam, and the rest of Malaysia. We continue expanding our game library, refining our responsible gambling tools, and deepening our commitment to the players who make this platform what it is.

How We Operate

Our Four Operating Pillars

01
Fair Play

All game outcomes on 1988rice are determined by certified random number generators. Slot RTPs are disclosed on every game card. We do not manipulate odds or outcomes — your trust is our most valuable asset.

02
Fast Payouts

We hold player funds in segregated accounts and process withdrawal requests around the clock. Most e-wallet withdrawals reach your Touch 'n Go or Boost account in under five minutes — no delays, no excuses.

03
Player Protection

KYC verification, account monitoring, and responsible gambling tools protect every player on our platform. We take underage gambling prevention and problem gambling support seriously — for players 21 years and above only.

04
Continuous Improvement

Player feedback directly shapes our roadmap. New game studios, payment methods, and platform features are added regularly based on what Malaysian players actually ask for — not just what looks good in a press release.

Our Commitment

Built for Malaysia.
Dedicated to Malaysian Players.

International platforms treat Malaysia as an afterthought. We treat it as our entire focus. Here is what that looks like in practice — across payments, support, sports, and responsible gaming.

21+ Players Only
Malaysian Payment Methods Only

Every payment option we support is a verified Malaysian channel — Maybank2u, CIMB Clicks, Public Bank, Hong Leong Connect, Touch 'n Go eWallet, Boost, GrabPay, DuitNow, and FPX. We do not rely on slow international wire transfers as a primary deposit channel for Malaysian players.

Malaysian Football at the Centre

Liga Super Malaysia, the Malaysia Cup, and FAM Cup markets are front and centre on our sportsbook — not buried under foreign leagues. We cover AFF Cup and World Cup qualifiers involving Harimau Malaya with dedicated featured markets and enhanced odds during major fixtures.

Support That Speaks Your Language

Our 24/7 support team understands the Malaysian market. Live chat responses average under five minutes. Email support replies within two hours. We do not route you through offshore call centres unfamiliar with local payment issues or local promotions.

MYR-Denominated Throughout

All balances, bonuses, and transactions on 1988rice are displayed in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR/RM). You will never need to mentally convert currencies or deal with exchange rate surprises when checking your account balance or reviewing a withdrawal.

Responsible Gambling Built In

Deposit limits, loss limits, cooling-off periods, and self-exclusion are available to every player at no cost. Our support team is trained to identify and assist players who may be experiencing difficulty. Gambling should be entertainment — we work hard to keep it that way.

Accepted Payment Methods

All major Malaysian banks and e-wallets — instant deposits, fast withdrawals.
