Bonus Terms Explained
Confused by casino bonus jargon? Here is a plain-English breakdown of the terms you will
see most often — so you know exactly what you are agreeing to before you claim.
1. Wagering Requirement / Rollover
The number of times you must bet the bonus amount before you can withdraw any winnings derived from it.
A 10x requirement on a RM100 bonus means you must wager RM1,000 in total before withdrawing.
Higher percentages like 35x are common for large bonuses — always factor this into your decision.
Example: Claim RM200 bonus with 15x rollover → must wager RM3,000 → then eligible to withdraw.
2. Maximum Bet During Bonus
While using active bonus funds, most platforms cap your maximum bet per spin or per round.
A typical cap at 1988rice is RM250–RM500 per bet. Exceeding this limit may result in
bonus forfeiture, so check the terms before high-stake spins.
Example: Max bet cap of RM250 applies while bonus is active — bets above this void the bonus.
3. Game Contribution Rate
Not all game types contribute equally toward clearing your wagering requirement.
Slots typically contribute 100%, while table games like Baccarat or Roulette
may contribute only 10–20%. Crash games and instant games often sit between these figures.
Example: RM100 bet on a slot = RM100 toward rollover. RM100 on Roulette (20% rate) = only RM20 toward rollover.
4. Bonus Expiry Period
All bonuses come with a time window in which you must complete the wagering requirement.
Common expiry windows are 7, 14, or 30 days from the day of claim.
Uncompleted bonuses are typically removed from your account once the window closes.
Example: Bonus claimed on 1 July with 14-day window → wagering must be completed by 15 July.
5. Sticky vs Non-Sticky Bonus
A sticky bonus stays in your account throughout play but cannot be withdrawn — only the
winnings generated from it can be cashed out. A non-sticky bonus is deducted from your
balance upon withdrawal, and you keep the net winnings above the original deposit amount.
Example: RM100 sticky bonus + RM500 winnings → withdraw RM500 (bonus retained, not cashed out).
6. Maximum Cash-Out from Bonus
Even after meeting wagering requirements, many bonuses impose a cap on how much
bonus-derived profit you can withdraw. This protects the platform from extreme bonus abuse
while still allowing a fair win opportunity for regular players.
Example: Max cash-out 5x bonus = RM500 cap on a RM100 bonus. Any winnings above RM500 are not withdrawable.
7. KYC Verification Before Withdrawal
Know Your Customer (KYC) checks are a regulatory requirement. You will be asked to submit
a valid government-issued ID (MyKad or passport) and proof of payment method before your
first withdrawal is processed. This protects both you and the platform from fraud.
Tip: Complete KYC verification early so your first withdrawal is not delayed when you are ready to cash out.
